Identical twins are a rare occurrence, happening only three or four times in every 1000 births.
Savannah Combs, a new mom, discovered she was pregnant with twins. She and her spouse were thrilled at the idea of having two babies.
The pregnancy went smoothly and the couple found out they were having twin girls. Despite discovering that both twins had Down Syndrome, Savannah, 23, embraced the news positively. She believed her girls would be unique and didn’t worry about others not accepting them.
After the birth of their daughters, Savannah and Justin started documenting their parenting journey on TikTok. Their adorable twins, Kennadi Rue and Mckenli, quickly gained a large following as Savannah shared updates on their progress.https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fpermalink.php%3Fstory_fbid%3Dpfbid0QTA4Qb1pUfE2tVCJkxfJd9yp2a8QTWTT5nWLcQHJV2ZqdjeuH3Ujtiq8e7T3uJgal%26id%3D100075216924746&show_text=true&width=500
In a TikTok video, Savannah shared that doctors suggested ending her pregnancy because her girls had low chances of survival. However, she chose to give them a chance to fight. It turned out to be the right decision as every prenatal appointment where they were alive was a blessing to her, according to Savannah.
Version 1: The babies were born five weeks early and had to stay in the NICU for a while. Now, at nine months old, they are doing really well. In fact, they are just like any other baby.
Savannah clarified that the twins were known as mono di twins. This meant that they each had their own sacs, but they shared the same placenta, indicating that they would be identical.
Having twins is already rare, but adding Down syndrome makes it even more uncommon, like one in 2 million.

“They feel emotions. They have a pulse. They can communicate. They can perform tasks like you. They will succeed,” she remarked. “As I mentioned, they might be a bit slower, but they will achieve it. I’ve discovered that these children are spirited and joyful.”
She enjoys demonstrating to everyone that having Down Syndrome does not have a negative impact on the lives of those individuals.
I will inform them that they are similar to us and can achieve their goals if they work hard.https://www.facebook.com/plugins/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php%3Ffbid%3D129943496189547%26set%3Da.110575971459633%26type%3D3&show_text=false&width=500
Naturally, some people leave critical comments and criticize Savannah for raising her children.
One individual commented on a video, “I wouldn’t want those babies; if mine came out like that, they would be put up for adoption.” Nevertheless, the mother had a perfect response for this unkind person. “I mentioned that it’s fortunate they weren’t born to you but to me instead. God knew what he was doing by entrusting these babies to the right parents who would love them unconditionally,” Savannah replied.
These girls are genuinely joyful to have a mother like Savannah. She aims to raise awareness about Down Syndrome and show the world that individuals with this condition can live happy and fulfilling lives, just like her two lovely angels.
