Bridget Jones is back.

Just in time for the release of the fourth movie in the franchise, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, out Feb. 14, Renée Zellweger stars on the cover of the February issue of British Vogue with an interview by her costar Hugh Grant.

For the photo shoot, the actress, 55, rocked a super-short haircut in her signature blonde color. In a few of the photos, her hair was styled in a side part, while photos saw Zellweger’s hair slicked back off her face in a more modern style.

While in conversation with Grant, 64, Zellweger touched on some of her favorite red carpet fashions from over the years, including two show-stopping gowns.

“I loved the ‘champagne bubbles’ dress for the Met Gala in 2011 [designed by Carolina Herrera]. We tested that dress throughout its construction with camera flashes and spotlights from every angle to make certain the strategically sewn crystal ‘bubbles’ were doing their jobs. And the 2020 white Armani Privé Oscars dress was also incredibly special. I love that dress. A billion hand-sewn gems! It weighed two tons, but felt like a T-shirt. Those stand out in my memory because they mark very meaningful, personal moments and though they’re sophisticated works of art, I felt wholly myself in them, which is unusual for the dog van lady who goes to the vet.”

Grant told Zellweger that Vogue is a fan of the actress in a little black dress and joked that “boys are frightened of eveningwear,” adding, “We like cocktail dresses.”

He continued, “Eveningwear is terrifying. That moment the girl comes in all done up in a big ballgown, we don’t know what face to make.”

Zellweger hedged a bit on her response, agreeing that little black dresses are relatable and asking him if he thought ballgowns were uptight.

The first Bridget Jones’s Diary film, starring Zellweger and Grant, was released in 2001. Zellweger plays the title character, while Grant plays Daniel Cleaver, her boss turned lover. The two have remained friends since then, with the duo spilling to British Vogue that the actress has long gifted the actor with a bottle of whiskey over the years. (She used to give her other Bridget Jones costar and love interest Colin Firth chocolates until he accidentally told her he didn’t like them.)

See them reunite in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, out Feb. 14.
