Margaret appearance in the 2019 Quentin Tarantino film marked her first major film role
Margaret Qualley has one proud dad!
On Sunday, Jan, 5, the actress, 30, attended the 2025 Golden Globes alongside her dad Paul Qualley, who wore a very special outfit in honor of his daughter. On the red carpet, Paul, 66, opted for a classic black suit that he teamed with a Once Upon a Time in Hollywood t-shirt.
The 2019 Quentin Tarantino film, which starred Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, marked Margaret’s first major movie role, while also launching the careers of several other up-and-coming stars such as Austin Butler, Mikey Madison and Sydney Sweeney.
In a red carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, Paul showed off the shirt while stating that he’s “very proud” of his daughter. “I always have been, ever since she was tiny,” he added.
Margaret, who was nominated for best performance by a female actor in a supporting role in any motion picture for her part in The Substance, explained why her husband Jack Antonoff‘s was absent from the event.
“He’s not here, he’s sick,” she said of the record producer in an interview with Variety. “But my dad’s here instead, so that’s nice. He actually has [attended the Golden Globes] before! I think it’s been, like, 20 years, but he’s here.”
The actress appeared at the awards show in a white column own with a sheer tiered layer over the skirt and black ribbon detail around the waist. She added bold drop earrings and a sparkly headband, upping the drama with a voluminous hairstyle.
Margaret’s mother is Andie MacDowell. The Groundhog Day actress married Paul, a former model and rancher, in 1986 and they share two other children together; daughter Rainey Qualley, who is also an actress, and son Justin Qualley.
The couple divorced in 1999 after 13 years of marriage. MacDowell went on to marry businessman and her former classmate Rhett Hartzog in November 2001 before divorcing in 2004.
Paul usually remains out of the spotlight, but he and MacDowell came together for Margaret’s August 2023 wedding to Antonoff.
