Rascal Flatts Will Perform for Donald Trump’s Inauguration, Marking First Appearance Since Reuniting

The country trio, which disbanded in 2021, will perform at the inaugural festivities alongside Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock, Jason Aldean and more

Rascal Flatts will make their first appearance since reuniting at President-elect Donald Trump‘s inauguration.

According to a news release from the Trump Vance Inaugural Committee, the country trio — which disbanded in 2021 — is set to perform at the Commander in Chief Ball alongside rising country star Parker McCollum after Trump is sworn in on Monday, Jan. 20.

“I am so humbled and honored and grateful for the opportunity again to play the inauguration of the 46th President of the United States,” Rascal Flatts’ frontman Gary LeVox wrote on Instagram alongside a series of patriotic photos of himself. “I got to play it in 2016 and now Rascal Flatts will be performing at the commanders ball and I am so looking forward to it! Thank you to Governor Christie, Gnome, and Mrs. Virginia- It will be a night to remember!”

While Rascal Flatts disbanded in October 2021, they announced they had reunited last fall and are set to kick-off their 25th anniversary tour in February.

Meanwhile, at the Swearing in ceremony, Carrie Underwood will perform “America the Beautiful,” American tenor Christopher Macchio will sing the “National Anthem,” and Grammy Award-winning musician Lee Greenwood will also perform.

At the Make America Great Again Victory Rally, Kid Rock, The Village People, Billy Ray Cyrus, Greenwood and Liberty University’s Praise Choir will perform. The Village People will once again perform at the Liberty Ball, along with Jason Aldean and a surprise musical guest.

On Monday, Jan. 13, it was announced that Underwood would be performing at Trump’s inauguration ceremony.

The American Idol winner, 41, is set to perform accompanied by The Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event,” Underwood said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

The Village People also addressed their decision to participate in the inauguration festivities in a statement shared to Facebook on Monday, Jan. 13.

“We know this [won’t] make some of you happy to hear however we believe that music is to be performed without regard to politics. Our song Y.M.C.A. is a global anthem that hopefully helps bring the country together after a tumultuous and divided campaign where our preferred candidate lost,” they said. “Therefore, we believe it’s now time to bring the country together with music which is why VILLAGE PEOPLE will be performing at various events as part of the 2025 Inauguration of Donald J. Trump.”
