Sam Asghari is ringing in the new year with a new love in his life.

The 30-year-old (born Hesam Asghari) made his relationship with girlfriend Brooke Irvine Instagram official with a sweet series of photos on January 1, one month after his ex-wife Britney Spears was declared legally single and over a year after he filed for divorce.

In the series of photos, Sam and Brooke—a real estate agent—cozy up together in a tropical locale. In addition to steamy photos of the pair lying together on a palm tree and embracing under the stars are also a sweet mirror selfie and two of the pair posing together as Sam gazes down at Brooke.

He captioned the post, alongside the heart hands emoji, “Happy New Year to All.”

The actor’s relationship confirmation comes after he and Britney settled their divorce in May, and just one month after they were each declared legally single when their marriage status was officially ended on Dec. 2, according to documents obtained by E! News. The date also coincided with Britney’s 43rd birthday.

Both Britney and Sam have shared the occasional comment on their split in the time since Sam filed for divorce in August 2023.

While Britney spoke to the shock and pain she felt immediately following their split, for his part, Sam has been candid on navigating his breakup within the public eye.

“It’s the bed that you make yourself, and you got to learn how to lay in it,” the fitness trainer told People in November at a Las Vegas event, “so it’s part of the lifestyle.”

However, when it comes to this new chapter, he has his strategies for continuing to look forward. “You just got to keep it positive,” Sam—who People reported attended the event with Brooke—explained, “You got to stay grounded and understand what the truth is and really just live with that rather than other people’s opinions or anything like that.”

But Sam wasn’t the only one enjoying the holiday season with loved ones. For her part, Britney spent Christmas with her and ex Kevin Federline’s 18-year-old son Jayden after what she said was a years-long estrangement.

Following what Britney called the “best Christmas of my life,” due to the reunion with her son, the Grammy winner—who also shares son Sean, 20, with Kevin—took to Instagram to gush over her youngest.

“I hadn’t seen him in 2 and half years or maybe 3 !!!” she captioned a New Year’s Eve post featuring three photos of Jayden. “I’m in shock !!! He came back and he feels older and smarter than me !!! He’s a man and I cry everyday of my life because of the miracle and genius he is !!! When he plays the whole earth shakes !!!”

She added, “Mine forever !!! It’s weird we’re like twins but he’s a boy and I’m a girl !!!”
