The Bravo star debuted the fiery look on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’
Whitney Rose has reinvented her signature blonde.
While appearing on What What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Bravo star, 38, showed off her latest hairstyle — a bold ginger chin-length bob.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, 38, made a splash on the Jan. 8 episode, looking radiant in her refreshed look, which is not only more vibrant in color but also slightly shorter than her previous haircut.
She styled her hair with curled ends that emanated the “flippy bob” trend that dominated awards season last year, and with a deep-parted side bang tucked behind her ear.
Rose has yet to post details on her new ‘do, but she did show it off in an Instagram video shared to WWHL’s Instagram account.
The beginning of the clip shows her before glam, rocking a makeup-free face and a casual outfit. In the after, she confidently models her new hair while posing in silver minidress and matching heels.
Rose’s blonde lob, which she cut from her previously mega-long locks, lasted for about a year before she transformed it.
It became so signature to her style that she even joked once that Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Whitney Leavitt “stole” her look when she decided to make a decent chop herself.
“If you think back to season 1, I had my natural hair in a bob,” Rose told PEOPLE in a recent interview. “I’ve always rocked a blonde bob, so I argue that Whitney stole my look.”
But don’t let Rose’s commitment to a chic bob fool you — she really is quite the hair chameleon!
In December 2020, Rose shared a series of instagram Stories revealing all the different cuts and colors she’s tried over the years. In photos shared by Bravo, she could be seen rocking tons of styles, from a long golden pixie cut, platinum bangs and auburn hair to a shocking buzz cut from the time she shaved her head.
Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is currently in the middle of its fifth season. Two months after its debut in September, Rose, no doubt a central figure in the drama, spoke with PEOPLE about finding her voice.
“It was a lot of years of getting burned and screwed over by people,” she said. “It’s really hard for me to put myself first because I always hate confrontation. I hate making people upset. Despite however I’m viewed on the show, I do not like making people upset. I can hold my own. I can stand up for myself and I advocate for a lot of people a lot of the time, but I never advocate for myself.”
Whitney added that she doesn’t view herself as the bad guy, but clarified that she doesn’t care if she’s labeled as one — and that’s all down to her unapologetic confidence.
“I guess if we’re going to lean into the villain thing, I think it’s only because we want to stand out,” she said. “[I] don’t want to be like everyone else. If that makes me a villain, then I guess I’m a villain.”
